Between Us is about love, the kind that exists between two women who love each other in all its softness and complexity. Through my paintings, I explore how the lesbian gaze´s love can transform the way we see ourselves and each other. My works look at moments that are often hidden or dismissed publicly, showing how beauty can exist in what the world sometimes calls flawed.
I want viewers to feel the tenderness that lives in these scenes, the quiet confidence of being seen and understood without explanation. My paintings show how much care and attention are applied, revealing the intimacy and joy found in queer connection.
But I also want the audience to wonder: who is looking, and who is being looked at? What does it mean to be visible on your own terms? Between Us invites you to step closer, to notice what happens in the spaces where love refuses to hide.
